사고가 났나요?

1. What is a fine nomination?

A fine nomination occurs when a fine is registered in the name of a person or company but is initially not attributed to them. After the nomination process, the fine will be transferred to the responsible party, and the amount may be adjusted.

2. Why was I nominated for the fine?

You were nominated because the fine was registered in your name or associated with your vehicle. The fine will be directed to you for payment or contestation.

3. What is the $40 nomination fee?

The $40 fee covers the cost of transferring the fine to your name. This amount may be adjusted or refunded depending on the process.

4. What if I no longer live at the registered address?

Please inform us immediately if you no longer live at the registered address to ensure that the fine and other correspondence reach your new address.

5. How can I pay the fine?

Once nominated, you will receive a notice letter at your mailbox with payment instructions. Follow the guidelines in the notice to make your payment.

6. What happens if I don’t pay the fine on time?

If the fine is not paid on time, the amount may increase, and you could face penalties, such as suspension of your driver’s license.

7. Can I contest the fine?

Yes, you can contest the fine if you believe it was issued incorrectly. Contestation instructions will be provided along with the fine notice.

8. Why does the fine amount appear higher?

The initial fine amount is higher because it was issued in the company's name. The amount will be adjusted after the nomination process is completed, reflecting the correct amount in your name.

9. Will I receive a new notice letter?

Yes, a new notice letter will be issued under your name within the next six weeks, along with a new payment schedule. Do not worry about the due date on the initial fine notice. Once you receive the new notice letter, you can choose to:

A: Pay directly using the payment reference provided, or

B: If you believe that the infringement was issued in error, you have the right to contest it. To do so, please follow the instructions on the infringement letter.
